And, The Team Building event can serve as an Associate
Appreciation as well. It is a great time to award excellent service or
staff who always goes the extra mile. Ending Team Building with
Recognition is a great morale booster.
Team Building doesn’t have to be about rock climbing,
softball or difficult tasks that make some people feel
uncomfortable. There are many creative ways to engage everyone,
accomplish your goal and have fun!
Try having the office create a video. There are
companies that specialize in bringing the world of motion pictures to
your company meeting. With a given theme or a message, teams actually
make a movie to be viewed by attendees. Or maybe try culinary
teambuilding where teams are given a group of ingredients and they must
come up with a tasty dish along with presentation. You can have your
own "Iron Chef"!
Scavenger Hunts are always great and now you can go
hi-tech with a GPS System in place. Just what a group of engineers or
IT folks might find enjoyable. What about imitating "Survivor"? It
works great with the company picnic. Gather plenty of tiki torches and
divide the staff into tribes. Come up with some tasks that can be done
around the office.
A Community Project is a wonderful team and morale
builder. There are many places to build a shelter, clean up an
elementary school yard or plant a garden for the Senior Living
facility. Not only do the teams give back, they feel good about it!
If you are planning for the summer, think about Beach
Olympics or a Sand Castle Building competition. Now is the time to make
your plans.
An experienced Meeting or Event Planner will be able to help you find
the exact Team Building event to suit your employees and maintain your
budget. Just remember to include the award ceremony and the "Thank yous."
